Welcomed works may include (but not limited to):

  • Criticism or Appreciation of recent exhibitions (Not your own).
  • In-depth analyses of new artworks, practices, or tendencies.
  • Critical reflections on art history or contemporary cultural issues.
  • Poetry or experimental writing that directly responds to an artwork.
  • Interviews, conversations, and theoretical reflections.
  • Visual submissions: photography, film stills, documentation of performances, or studio process.


For Writers:
Submit a piece of art criticism or experimental writing (Min 150 words - Max 1800 words) in PDF, along:

1. A short bio (Max 100 words).
2. Your website or Instagram handle.

If relevant, indicate whether the artist(s) you write about would agree to have images of their work published.

*A one-time fee is provided to writers with successfully selected works.


For Artists and Creators:
Submit up to 10 images of recent work and description up to 200 words in a single PDF, alongside:

1. A short artist statement (Max 200 words).
2. Your website or Instagram handle.

If you work in performance, film, or other time-based media, please include a link to the video documentation, preferably Google Drive.


Art Bite (Short Commentaries on One Artwork/Series):
Submit up to 1 commentary up to 150 words about an artwork, alongside:

1. A short bio (max 100 words).
2. Your website or Instagram handle.

If relevant, indicate whether the artist(s) you write about would agree to have images of their work published.

* By submitting, you warrant that your work does not infringe the copyright or any other rights of third parties, and you accept full responsibility for any claims or liabilities arising from such infringements, and you grant Purist Magazine a non-exclusive licence to publish your work online and in print, with credit to your full name.


Our magazine will be published on a beautiful spring day, with submissions featured on a first-come, first-served basis.
